This state-of-the-art facility is dedicated to performing groundbreaking research and collaborating with key partners to improve the performance and efficiency of AI workloads.
A Look Inside the Lab
The AI Central Lab is equipped with the latest technology, including high-performance GPUs like NVIDIA B200 and H200, 800Gbps Ethernet networking, and, of course, a massive amount of Solidigm SSDs. The lab's infrastructure is built on reference architectures, from FarmGPU, mirrors what major cloud providers and enterprises are deploying, ensuring that the findings are directly applicable to real-world environments.
A key feature of the lab is its ability to collect telemetry data, which provides a detailed picture of how system resources are being used. This allows Solidigm and its collaborators to pinpoint bottlenecks and recommend optimizations to improve performance and power efficiency.
Record-Breaking Performance
Even in its early stages, the lab has already achieved significant milestones. In the latest MLPerf Storage testing, a single-node cluster at the lab, featuring 24 Solidigm D7-PS1010 SSDs, achieved a per-node throughput of 116 GB/s, the highest ever measured on the test.
The lab also hosts what is believed to be the most dense storage test cluster ever built, with 192 Solidigm D5-P5336 SSDs. This cluster packs an incredible 23.4PB of storage into just 16U of rack space, which is enough to store over 300 years of non-stop HD video.
